Bread
There are people in the world so hungry , that God cannot appear to them except in the form of bread- Mahatma Gandhi.
Nature gave life that hangs on a thread
It gave air, water, fire, and loaf of bread
And then it gave thirst and hunger to feed
And it gave soil and life in the form of seed.
It gave air, water, fire, and loaf of bread
And then it gave thirst and hunger to feed
And it gave soil and life in the form of seed.
The farmer sows the seed with his sweat
and waters it daily till it gets wet
and then he picks up the grains that are best
and the baker kneads it and bakes it into bread.
and waters it daily till it gets wet
and then he picks up the grains that are best
and the baker kneads it and bakes it into bread.
This life tries to turn us like a delicious bread
Some become useful so that hungry can be fed
It sows us, waters us, grinds us , kneads us
and finally it bakes us under fire
makes us worthy of being eaten with cheese spread.
It is the loaf of bread around which food revolves
Fed on the bread human evolves
Some gather fungus and become stale
If we are not fresh, useful and edible as human we fail.
Vasant Khisty
This life treats us like a loaf of bread. Through seed we are born in the womb of mother earth, then the grains are separated from chaff and the good grains are then ground, kneaded and baked in a hot oven and we turn into a useful human who can be useful for others.
