Forgive and Forget
Time says forgive, eternity says forget.”
―
Hurt is the mother of anger
and vengeance a burning coal
Which ignites from within as long it is fanned
and burns down our own soul.
To forget, forgive and let go
is the virtue of the sages
men have wielded swords in revenge
and wounds have never healed through the ages.
The bravest man who walked this earth
Hanging on a cross he prayed
forgive them lord for they do not know
And he blessed the men who betrayed.
Gouging an eye for an eye
And this whole world will turn blind
Thoughts of vengeance scratches the wound
And revenge is the act of insane mind.
Vasant Khisty
We are human and in the process of transaction with other humans we may feel betrayed and the immediate reflex action is the seek revenge. While taking revenge we must dig two graves as revenge never closes and concludes and it triggers a series of revengeful actions.
