Telephone
The telephone is the greatest nuisance among conveniences, the greatest convenience among nuisances.
Robert Staughton Lynd.
Telephone brought the world close
And took the near ones far away
Words can travel round the world
But near ones can't hear what we say.
There was a time we waited
Eagerly for a trunk call.
Now the world is in our palm
And the phone stuck to our eye ball.
The technology that tied our hand
And captured our brains
Children sitting with bent heads
Not enjoying splashing in the rains.
Vasant Khisty
