Donating sperms does not make you a father
renting a womb does not make you a mother

Its about who looks upto you  like his son

And who makes you feel like a daughter. 

In my journey of life I met selfish men

And I met one such man I thought was bad

He wanted to groom me like his daughter 

And I thought he was mentally sick and mad. 

He held my hand when I crossed the road

He made me run on hills and stones 

He came with a banana when I went to school

And offered me milk to strengthen my bones.

I could never realize what I meant to him

And his unconditional  love induced in me a fear

And one day I just left him all alone 

And he slowly walked away with a tear. 

And now that I am mother myself 

I can appreciate what a child really means to me 

And now that he is dead and gone 

I can still feel his soul sheltering me like a tree. 

A feeling of father or mother is divine as it could be. These are unconditional relationships and has nothing to do with sperms ovaries and DNA. Its a connection of soul as this body is just dust and will go back to dust. I have seen a lioness caressing and protecting a baby lamb and it had nothing to do with the DNA.
